The company decided to relocate their Cheadle office and, on the recommendation of one of our former clients, contacted A Perfect CV to provide consultancy to those employees choosing not to move with the company
The Finance Director requested a programme for a board member, financial accountant, accounting, secretarial and administrative staff.
All the people involved had been with the company for many years and they were upset at the thought of leaving, breaking up their team – and expressed feelings of sadness, anxiety and uncertainty.
The programme
In consultation with the HR Director, we designed a programme that was tailored to each employee´s individual needs
Over the course of two weeks we met regularly and built a rapport with the staff
We carried out career reviews, identified transferable skills and work preferences, and produced CVs and letters for all the staff
At the specific request of the secretarial and administrative staff, we added interview coaching to the programme to help to reduce nervousness and build confidence as they had not been through the selection processes for quite some time
The outcome
We received a 100% positive feedback from all concerned.
The one to one, personal approach was singled out as the most valued aspect of the service we provided
Many of the people involved had expressed doubts about finding new employment after having been with the company for so long; they needn´t have worried as all started fresh careers within a short period of time

Downsizing programme for old established
designers, manufacturers and distributors of decorative trimmings for a global market

The company´s strategy was to relocate their UK manufacturing facility to India and the Managing Director, John Regan - a former client and fellow MBA – requested help for the Production Manager and 45 production operatives – most of whom had been with the company for decades
The programme
Over the course of two weeks we worked on site individually with all personnel to identify their skills, produce CVs and write speculative letters – ensuring that they were well equipped to approach new employers in the area
The outcome
A number of staff were so pleased with their CVs and letters that they subsequently attended our offices in Hale to receive coaching in interview techniques

The programme
Providing one-to-one consultancy we undertook an in-depth review of his skills and identified his key competencies - commercial acumen, business development, negotiation, networking, team leadership, relationship building and much more
Money was not the main criteria - at this stage in his life he was seeking fresh challenges and something that would be more fulfilling and meaningful

Within 6 weeks our client secured a role as manager of a well known children's charity
